Our Mission:
To create a social network of young professionals to further the positive impact of the
Somerset County United Way in our local community.
Who we are:
Our United Way young professionals group brings together a generation of individuals that are eager to connect with our communities and help address social problems. We are comprised of individuals from different industries with various skills looking for opportunities to give back to our communities. At the same time we are looking to develop our leadership skills and build our social network.

Did you know?
Income:
About 10 percent or 30,000 Somerset County residents are at or below an income that meets their basic needs.
Health:
From 2003-2007, out of all of NJ, Somerset County had the largest increase in the number of children enrolled in Family Care, the state’s insurance program for low-income children. Overall, 15% of the population in Somerset County is uninsured.
Education:
In 2008, Somerset County had over 5,000 middle-school students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program at their schools.
