WHAT: Somerset County United Way Women’s Initiative Eighth Annual Breakfast, featuring Jenny Fisher, author of The Feminine Side of Leadership speaking on “Leading from the Heart”. The event also includes full breakfast, silent auction and networking opportunities.

Funds raised through the breakfast and online auction benefit women in Somerset County who are working toward self-sufficiency. Funds raised through the April 2009 breakfast supported several projects that are impacting women's lives in meaningful and long-lasting ways. These projects included:
- Support services for women seeking employment
- Installation of a safety fence at a domestic violence safe house
- Life skills for at-risk adolescent girls
- Parenting program for families at risk of substance abuse
