Local children play ‘Simon Says’at Somerset County United Way’s Party in the Park event in support of United Way’s health impact area encouraging healthy living and exercise among children. Other activities included making healthy snacks, participating in a zumba class, getting your blood pressure checked, and completing on-site volunteer projects. United Way’s Party in the Park is coordinated in collaboration with the Somerset County Park Commission’s Summer Concert series at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater. An independent nonprofit organization, Somerset County United Way helps people who live and work in Somerset County through its vision that all residents possess a living income that will be attained through achieving financial stability, healthy lifestyles, and life readiness.
