Women`s Initiative - "Women building community and empowering lives."
This group of dynamic women focuses their effort in three areas: volunteerism, fundraising and special events to influence issues in our community. Proceeds raised in 2007 helped teach financial management to women recovering from substance abuse, helped provide medical and dental treatment for uninsured women and much more. (more info)
The Somerset County Business Volunteer Council strives to improve the quality of life in our community by promoting and fostering business volunteerism. Professional development, training, networking, and collaboration opportunities exist through this dynamic group. Quarterly meetings provide member companies the opportunity to network, participate in professional development seminars, share workplace volunteer program best practices, and coordinate business volunteer efforts to create cohesive solutions that meet the community`s needs.
