PARTY IN THE PARK – FAMILY VOLUNTEER DAY

BRING YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS! Somerset County United Way and the Somerset County Park Commission invite you to spend an evening together celebrating community and enjoying a concert in the park! This annual event features family activities, information that encourages community involvement and entertainment.
Suggested admission is a nonperishable food donation to benefit our local food bank (Sponsored by Leadership Somerset Class of 2008.)
Max’s Gourmet Catering tent will be available through out the evening if you would like to purchase something to eat at the event.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
5 – 6:45 pm – FREE POPCORN AND SPIN ART!
5 – 6:45 pm - Participate in one of the many on-site community activities including:
Healthy Living Initiative Children create a healthy snack. One snack per child, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Financial Stability Initiative Decorate a label to make your own savings bank at home.
Life Readiness Initiative (READY TO LEARN) Create a book mark to go with a book that will be donated to a child in need. Includes story reading!
Make cheer cards for seniors or a friendship bracelet for our troops overseas.
5 – 6:30 pm – Trail clean-up along the Raritan River led by Park Rangers.
6:30 – 7 pm – Informative nature hike led by Park Rangers.
6:45 pm – Door prize drawings.
7 – 8:30 pm – Concert featuring THE PARTY DOLLS, a three-girl vocal group singing hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

If the concert is cancelled, Party in the Park is cancelled as well.
